Leon 214 released
We have recently initiated the deployment of a new version of Leon. Over the next coming days, customers will gradually transition to the updated version. If you encounter any functions that are not working as expected, please notify us via the Customer Portal.
Crew
- The "Edit duty" window now displays the start and end dates of the duty timeframe
Crew App
- We have fixed several display issues in the hotel-adding section of Crew App — improved readability of the date and time field, currency display, overlapping note label (iOS), and an issue preventing deselection of an aircraft.
- Flights are now displayed in Crew App on the reporting day (Report On) rather than the departure day. This change affects the My Schedule and Schedule views, so crew members see flights on the day they actually need to report.
- FTL in Crew App — flight number and report on/off information added to the FTL flight view in the mobile app. More information here.
Crew Training
- Added the ability to assign different licence types to different aircraft types for a given crew member. Exceptions can now be configured in the Ratings tab (User Edit), and the change is taken into account when checking certificates (Crew Qualifications and the Crew tab in OPS).
- Added a “Facility location” field in simulator editing — allows specifying the actual airport where training takes place. The FTL module uses it for calculations instead of the standard start/end fields. The “Place” field has also been renamed to “Facility name”. More information here.
Leon Marketplace
- Marketplace — operator details popup when searching for aircraft, with support for aircraft type name display.
OPS
- Added support for automatic import of Load (LDM) messages from an operator-designated mailbox. Leon scans the mailbox every 10 minutes, parses Load messages, and saves cargo, mail, baggage, and passenger data directly in Flight Watch for matching flights. Matching is based on flight number, date, and ADES airport. To configure this feature, select a mailbox in the Cargo settings under the Fleet section — the LDM Mailbox field. More information here.
- Added support for the new ForeFlight API version (Schedule v2). The integration now allows flights and crew to be sent to ForeFlight using the newer API, resolving recurring update issues. In the integration settings (Add-ons), you can choose which API version (v1 or v2) is used.
- Added a new “Aircraft Handover Report” (AHR) field in the Journey Log under the OPS section. You can enable this item in the Settings > Journey Log Configuration. This is a checkbox that can be marked after a flight is completed. The field is also available as a column in Report Wizard under the Flight scope.
- Fixed handling of the Alternate field in the “Auto Import PPS Fuel Data” feature. If both ALTN1 and ALTN2 fields are filled in PPS, Leon now takes the higher value — providing more accurate alternate fuel planning.
- Aircraft settings now allow defining that Oil uplift is measured in litres instead of quarts. The selected unit is saved with each Journey Log entry, protecting historical data from potential configuration changes. New columns for both quarts and litres are available in Report Wizard. More information here.
- Fuel Suppliers section now allows you to set selected fuel supplier as a favourite on selected airport and for the selected aircraft. More information here.
SCHED
- Bulk checklist status change for multiple flights at once in the Modify Flights option. More information here.
Wingman and MCP
- Added a new MCP tool that returns the schedule change history for a given flight (flightNid). Wingman can now inform users about when and what changed in a flight's schedule.
In addition to the features mentioned above, changes have been made to Leon API, which can be reviewed in the provided changelog.
