In order to increase stability and customers satisfaction, we have recently developed additional mechanism for switching Leon to the backup hosting facility. So far, it was taking a long time to switch to the backup location because backup was accessible under different web address (backup.leon.aero).
In order to avoid confusion, new mechanism has been developed (based on dynamic DNS switching) which allows switching to the backup location without changing address of the application (leon.aero). Therefore it is no longer neccessary to announce the change to the customers. The change will be done automatically.
We are going to test the switchover tomorrow around 10-11 am CET time. It won't stop Leon and normal operation can be performed. The only noticable effect will be that all users will be automatically logged out from the system. Relogin will be possible immediately after.
Once we complete the tests, we will be able to switch Leon quicker in case of any problems with the main hosting facility.
