Leon and Flightkeys: Flight Scheduling Software with ATM-Aware Optimization
The integration between Leon Software and Flightkeys connects operational planning with advanced flight trajectory optimization, enabling air operators to link their core scheduling and crew data from a robust flight scheduling software with high-precision, ATM-aware flight planning.
How the Integration Works
In this integration, Leon remains the system of record and core flight scheduling software for flight schedules, aircraft data, and crew assignments, while Flightkeys consumes this authoritative data to support operational control, disruption management, and compliance-driven replanning.
Flights created or updated in Leon are automatically transferred to Flightkeys via a secure API connection. The exchanged data set includes:
- flight numbers and sectors,
- aircraft registrations and configurations,
- planned times (STD/STA, block),
- crew assignments and roles.
Flightkeys builds its operational view directly on this data, applying its logic for conflict detection, crew legality checks, and real-time operational monitoring. When day-of-operations changes occur—such as delays, crew swaps, or aircraft changes—updated operational decisions can be synchronized back to Leon, keeping planning, dispatch, and operational records aligned within the flight scheduling software environment.
One Operational Data Flow from Planning to Ops Control
The integration establishes a single, consistent operational data flow between planning and day-of-operations. Flight data is entered once in Leon and reused in Flightkeys, reducing discrepancies between planning and operational control and ensuring both teams work with the same, up-to-date information generated by the flight scheduling software.
By keeping schedules, aircraft data, and crew assignments continuously aligned, operations teams can respond faster to disruptions while maintaining crew legality and regulatory compliance. Planning and ops responsibilities remain clearly separated—planners work in Leon, ops controllers in Flightkeys—yet both systems operate on one shared data set.
The connection is delivered via a secure, scalable API, transferring only the data required for scheduling and operational control. It is designed for complex airline and ACMI environments, supporting multi-fleet, multi-base, and high-frequency operations without adding manual workload.
