Leon 226 released

We have recently initiated the deployment of a new version of Leon. Over the next coming days, customers will gradually transition to the updated version. If you encounter any functions that are not working as expected, please notify us via the Customer Portal.

OPS

Journey Log can now record engine performance data. Five new optional items are available: Engines N1, Engines N2, Fuel flows, Engine temperatures and Oil pressures. Each of them works in the same way as Oil uplift: the item expands so that a value can be entered for every engine, up to four. All of them are also available as columns in Report Wizard, scope Flight.
MVT Missing Take off and Missing Landing messages no longer raise false alarms. Missing Take off now also takes CTOT into account: if CTOT is filled in but ETD or T/O is missing, the message is sent 25 minutes after CTOT. Missing Landing is no longer sent for flights that have not departed at all.
The handling agent is no longer overwritten when only the times change. Until now, changing STD or STA on a flight re-applied the preferred handler, even if someone had deliberately selected a different one or cleared the field. The handler is now applied automatically only when the aircraft, the client, or the airport changes.
Flights marked as EROPS are now easy to recognise. When the EROPS checkbox is ticked in the ATC Flight plan checklist item, Leon adds (E) after the flight number in OPS Table, OPS Calendar and Crew Timeline. The indication is switched on in the three-dot filter of each view.
Aircraft used for flights to offshore installations can now be marked in the fleet settings. In Fleet, in the OPS tab of the aircraft edition, a new Offshore operations checkbox is available. On flights with such an aircraft, an additional Offshore checkbox appears in the FLIGHT tab, and the value can be reported as the Offshore operation column in Report Wizard, scope Flight.
Uploaded fuel price files are now recorded. In Admin Panel > SECURITY > Audit Logs, with the event type filter set to Fuel Prices, you can see who uploaded which file and when, and download the file itself. Changes to the Preferred Fuel Supplier settings are recorded in the same place.
Fuel prices added manually can now be marked as preferred, in the same way as prices coming from uploaded files. In OPS > Fuel Prices use the star icon in the price row or in the header of the Add custom fuel price window. A price marked this way is shown with a star in the FUEL tab of the flight.
The CAMP integration has a new option, Send closed Journey logs only. When it is enabled, only data from Journey Logs with the status CLOSED is sent to the external system. The option is disabled by default, so nothing changes for existing configurations.
Flight matching for LDM messages has been improved. Leon now matches flights by both ICAO and IATA flight numbers, which makes it easier to receive LDM messages forwarded to the mailbox configured in Leon.
A return to ramp recorded in the FW tab is now included in the FTL data. In the Crew tab of the flight it appears as a separate sector with its own Off block and On block times, described as Return to ramp. FTL data is refreshed when the Crew tab is opened again after a return to ramp has been added or edited. More information here.
Checklist items can be moved between the OPS, SALES and FLIGHT CARE groups without recreating them, which lets operators shift responsibilities between departments. The change is made by Leon Support on request, it is reflected in the system within 24 hours, and a number of system items cannot be reassigned. More information here.

Crew Training

Airport qualifications can now be revalidated in bulk, in the same way as certificates. In Crew > Crew Qualification, tab Airport Qualifications, tick the records of the type Airport Recency and use the REVALIDATE button. The new expiry date is based on the Airport Recency validity settings defined in the Airport Directory. Airport Brief and Online Familiarization records cannot be selected, as there are no revalidation rules for them. More information here.
Crew Qualification now takes operator bases into account. The base selector next to Log out applies to all four tabs: Certificates, Airport Qualifications, Currency and Travel Documents. Selecting a base narrows each list to the crew assigned to that base. More information here.
Visa fields have been reworked, both in a crew member profile and in a Phonebook contact. SCHENGEN can no longer be selected in the Country field; visas created earlier keep that value, but once the country is changed to a specific one it cannot be set again. When the selected country belongs to the Schengen zone, the Type field offers Transit, Short stay and Long stay in addition to the types defined for that country, and changing the country clears the selected type. Country of issue is no longer filled in automatically from the selected passport.

Sched

ASM and SSM messages now support the TIM action for time and date changes. Until now Leon sent RPL in such cases, which some recipients do not process at all, while the IATA standard uses TIM for a change of times. When the aircraft and the times change at the same time, two messages are sent: EQT and TIM.

MX

Operator bases can now be selected in the MX views. Filtering is based on the aircraft base, and the permission limiting a user to their own base is respected.

Admin

Part of the Sales settings has been moved from General Settings to the dedicated Sales settings page. This is another step in tidying up the configuration so that the settings of a given module are in one predictable place.
